Special issue of Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology is now Open Access!

09 November 2022

All articles from the “MedTech innovation across the life course – the importance of users and usability” Special Issue of the Journal of Medical Engineering and Technology are now available through Open Access.

This Special Issue presents articles led and written by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Devices for Dignity MedTech Co-operative and the NIHR Children and Young People MedTech Co-operative.

Taking a collaborative approach with our partner MIC, also based in Sheffield, has allowed us to take a ‘whole life course’ perspective when reflecting on the challenges and opportunities of MedTech today.

The Special Issue hosts a range of topics, including usability engineering, telehealth, robotics, patient and public involvement and co-design, as well as case studies in the contexts of paediatric prosthetics, neurological conditions, stroke and diabetes.

We are delighted to share that all articles in this issue are now open access and available through the link below. Please feel free to share this resource with your colleagues and networks!
