Call for PhD Proposals: GOSH BRC Applied Child Health Informatics Theme PhD Studentships in Health Data Science and Informatics

Tuesday 16 January 2024

The NIHR Great Ormond Street Hospital Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR GOSH BRC) Applied Child Health and Informatics (ACHI) Theme is advertising a call for PhD project proposals, suitable for a three-year non-clinical BRC PhD Studentship in Health Data Science and Informatics beginning in October 2024.

All projects submitted to the ACHI PhD studentship in Health Data Science and Informatics programme must be aiming to build on the potential of data science to revolutionise the diagnosis, management, or outcomes of children with rare and/or complex conditions. The ACHI theme has outlined a remit for PhD project proposals to align to, in the guidance document available via the NIHR GOSH BRC website (link below). Any project proposal will need to demonstrate how it aligns with the remit of the ACHI theme. BRC funding is not allowed to support basic science projects (i.e. not translational), any research using animals or clinical projects supporting phase III trials. Therefore, these types of projects are not eligible for this call.

The deadline for receipt of project proposal applications is Monday 5th February 2024.
