An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Directorate of Research & Innovation at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. NIHR CYP MedTech is hosted by Sheffield Children’s.

Main duties of the job

You will co-ordinate the Trust’s preparation for external audit and regulatory inspection as well as coordinating the team internal audit programme of research studies and processes. You will undertake work to coordinate the review and implementation of research standard operating procedures, have oversight of the data management function within Research & Innovation, ensuring high quality data across the portfolio of clinical trials entered into systems including EDGE and public databases.

As Quality Assurance & Governance Co-ordinator you must have a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and be confident in making autonomous professional decisions relating to quality assurance.

Although the post will be based mostly within Sheffield Children’s Hospital Main site, you may be required to work across the Trust’s sites around Sheffield. We will provide excellent opportunities for professional development, and you will have the opportunity to attend training and national meetings in the field of clinical research. In return, we are seeking enthusiastic and motivated candidates who can demonstrate a high level of experience in clinical research management and/or quality assurance. Successful applicants will be required to adopt a flexible working pattern and work autonomously.
