Clinical Director appointed as RCPCH Vice President for Science and Research

Tuesday 18 January 2022

Huge congratulations to our Clinical Director, Professor Paul Dimitri, for being appointed to the position of Vice President for Science and Research at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).

Paul said: “It’s a great honour to be elected to this position of Vice President for Science and Research for the RCPCH. There are great opportunities to advance children’s healthcare in the future through investment in child health research. I am looking forward to working with College members to harness these opportunities and increase the national focus on child health.

“Sheffield has a strong track record in paediatric translational and clinical research, child health technology development and leadership in national research positions and other national clinical roles. I will be taking over the position of Vice President of Science and Research from Professor Nick Bishop, and I aim to continue with the great work Nick has led on to support paediatric and child health research and improving research training. As always we strive to improve the health and lives of the children and young people we care for.”
