Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours)

Contract: 12 months fixed term

Location: Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

An incredible opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join us at The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Children and Young People MedTech Co-operative (CYP MedTech) as our new Project Manager, hosted by Sheffield Children’s Hospital. CYP MedTech were established in January 2018 and we are looking to expand our team. CYP MedTech is a centre of expertise funded by the NIHR to act as a catalyst within the NHS for the development of new medical devices, healthcare technologies and technology-dependent interventions.

Main duties of the job:

  1. To engage with potential stakeholders, assessing and identifying their needs and identifying how these fit in with the remit of the consortium and how best the consortium infrastructure can be best utilised to address these needs through collaborative projects, helping new med tech innovations to be developed
  2. To manage and develop projects relevant to the consortium(s) including working on specific projects within the themes to direct and manage them. This will involve working across sectors – academia, industry, clinical
  3. To support the development of systems for implementing new and/or improved ways of working
  4. To contribute to the ongoing development of current service improvement initiatives such as Patient and Public Involvement, Communications and building links with industry
  5. Any other duties as may reasonably be required, consistent with the grade of the post.
